Rivetting Privacy Policy – Legalese!

Privacy policy – Legalese to keep our behinds covered

Brand-spanking new bit! The EU loves bureaucracy and so does the island of Saint Quiche!!! As such, the Quichan bureaucrats were tickled pink to comply with GDPR policy.

And that’s not all. So here’s your GDPR compliance notice.

  1. Who is collecting your data? We use MailChimp for the collection of e-mails. They have their own separate GDPR compliance policy (weeee!), which you can find here. (MailChimp wrote to me just this morning to pinky promise that they were GDPR compliant.) We collect your e-mail address and name only if you give them to us so that we can send you e-mails. This is a personal website, and I am the only person with access to it. (Yeah, the whole thing about Saint Quiche being a real country is fantasy, so there are no bureaucrats involved. Sorry to disappoint.)
  2. Cookies and tracking. We don’t use cookies or tracking, but we eat lots of cookies. But those are a different sort of cookies, so we’re all good.
  3. By giving us your information, you authorize us to contact you until you don’t want to be contacted. Then you can unsubscribe. We’ll shed a tear or two, but that’s okay.
  4. The data won’t be shared with any third parties. Bureaucrats HATE sharing, so this will be easy-peasy.
  5. The data will be stored unless you request us to delete it or we decide to stop doing this. Or die. You know how it goes.
  6. You have the right to edit, change, or ask for us to delete your personal information. Bureaucrats love poking at information, so we will be happy to do this for you.
  7. If you have any problems or want to opt out of future e-mails, click the “contact me” on the website.
